Art Thoughtz, with Hennessy Youngman: Performance Art

~ First off, let’s put it out that this is NSFW (not safe for work) and may be only appropriate for select audiences at home. But that said, Hennessy paints a portrait of the history of performance art up until present and connects it to you and your very life up until this moment. The layers here are profound. No matter how unsafe it may be for work some things just need to be said.

Art Thoughtz: Curators

~ “What up Internet?” If you’ve been following our syndication of Hennessy Youngman’s b-boy spin of contemporary art theory then you probably, having learned the basics are ready to find a patron or two and get to work. But hold off, just because you think you understand relational aesthetics and have managed to make an art recontextualizing something doesn’t mean you’ve come into your own as an artist. To do that your going to need to know a curator.

Art Thoughtz: How to Make an Art (Part 2ish)

~ Hennessy returns with some follow up advice to his hugely successful, How to Make an Art. In case part one was too cerebral for you Youngman takes us step by step through his working process. It isn’t his most insightful piece, (perhaps it’s the paint fumes) but in his classic b-boy fashion he creates his sculptural diptych, Buddy Cop

Art Thoughtz: w/ Hennessy Youngman
~ Your not educated in the arts until you’ve heard it from Hennessy Youngman, A.K.A. Henrock Allah, A.K.A. the Pharoah Hennessy, A.K.A. Henrock Obama. Bridging the gap between the gallery and the hood Hennessy lays it down hard, crippling even. P.S. You may want to cover the children’s ears if you prefer they avoid cussing. Though on the other hand, Youngman is particularly skilled at cussing so you may want them to hear it from a pro. In short, these videos are probably NSFW.

Art Thoughtz: How to Be a Successful Artist

~  Solving the age old riddles of the art world, Hennessy Youngman’s got all your answers. This time he breaks down what you, the artist needs to become successful. Not a very hopeful outlook, but that’s not why we turn to Hennessy for answers. We do it because he drops the truth like he drops his cuss words, with deft precision. That would also qualify this as possibly NSFW, depending on where you work.

Art Thoughtz: How to Make an Art

~ Want to be an artist? Hennessy Youngman will teach you everything you need to know. All in laymen’s terms (laymen meaning dumb down). His videos have little continuity so hopefully you won’t be lost without having seen his explanations of Post-Structuralism and Relational Aesthetics. Youngman’s language is crude at best so do note this may be NSFW.

Art Thoughtz: Relational Aesthetics

~ Some more art theory from post-modern b-boy Hennessy Youngman. Today Hennessy explains to socially inept artists the basics of making social art. Youngman’s crude language (NSFW) cuts through the malarkey of capitalist materialism with a little self exposé of his own.

Art Thoughtz: Post-Structuralism

~ Ever wonder what Post-Modern even means? Tired of winded explanations that drag out the definition as though their art critic lives depended on it? Well Hennessey Youngman, art interpreter extraordinaire, has boiled it all down in less than five minutes. WARNING: Youngman’s crude precision of wordage may qualify as NSFW, though this is considered the edited “clean version”.
