~ I was stunned to realize it had happened. Somehow, in the last few months I had loosened my grip on the importance of Batman, and owning this realization is still having its effect on me. Batman is of my opinion one of the most important memes we humans have collectively created. He represents our dark side, not the dark side we get to vanquish by allying with Yoda but the dark side we must live with for the rest of our days. Batman is the fallen angel that is humanity, and yet am I now all too aware of the disquieting aftertaste I have been left with since the Dark Knight.
