3D Puppets? Who would have ever thunk it?
~ As a puppeteer this seems utterly ridiculous and disconnected from reality. Puppets ability to connect with an audience is their greatest strength, this idea of 3D projected puppets misses the whole point. I’m glad the Muppet legacy continues, but I have my doubts that a company the size of Disney can make something as human as what Henson gave us.
The Doctor Puppet
~ The Doctor takes the form of a puppet in his newest regeneration. All of the Doctor’s quirks and manners are captured with uncanny accuracy in this stop-motion animation gem. I put all three of the current episodes on one handy playlist for you. Episode 1: The Red X, episode 2: The Conjunction of Eleven as well as the Doctor Puppet Christmas Special that somehow slipped under me radar last holiday. Enjoy
The Knee High Puppets: On Top of Spaghetti (Opera)
~ Rodney delivers a moving operatic performance of this classical score. Hold on to your meatballs because this one is sure to knock them to the floor. But first some comedic anecdotes and impersonations.

~ Jim Henson was remembered last spring in a touring exhibit by the Smithsonian Institute. To celebrate what would have been his 76th birthday today let’s look at some highlights from that show.

~ Nelson died yesterday at the age of 78. He was an accomplished puppeteer and singer and was one of the original Muppets. He voiced dozens of Muppets and at one point was Rowlf the Dog’s right hand. On the Muppet Show he played Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Robin the Frog, and Camilla the Chicken. On Fraggle Rock he was the lead Fraggle, Gobo. And on Sesame Street he was the original Mr. Snuffleupagus, Sherlock Hemlock, and probably helped teach you to count as the Count von Count.
The Kinetic Paranormal Society, Act 2

The Knee High Puppets survived Deadman’s Drop!
~ Bartlby was nervous but he made it down the treacherous dune slope, completing the first act of this three day race.
See the rest of the photos on the Kinetic Paranormal Societies page on FB.
Jim Henson knows, you can make puppets out of nearly anything. All you need do is give it a voice.
